HALLOWEEN

Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival.

People would light bonfires and wear costumes. In the eighth century, November 1st  was a time to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween.

This year the third course of primary eduation  created a shadow theatre for Halloween in order to celebrate this special day.

On 18th, 19th and 20th October 2022, two teachers from Sweden came to our school: Isabella and Theresia Primary school teachers in Gothenburg.

The students of 6th level took them for a tour around our village. We took a walk along the Main Street up to the palace and the gardens. The children talked about the history, traditions, monuments and gastronomy in La Granja.

We had a great time, we were speaking English all the time and our guests enjoyed it a lot.
